Blog post #300 for me. The posts have not been happening lately. I guess I needed a break. For the few people who follow this blog I will be posting a few times a week starting now. I love to look back on the places, rides, and family fun we have. This post is standard ride report. Charlie is back on his bike and getting fit. It was off to Huntington Valley for his "new loop". Charlie descibed the ride as hilly and fun. I could not agree more. We did 32 miles and had a great time and super weather. Another bonus of this loop is getting to look at some pretty amazing houses. "Who has all that money"? Thanks Charlie and sorry I was late. Next rime is off road!

Luke Winning his first BMX National
Luke is the one in the front the whole race in the orange. The announcer was having trouble finding his number on his sheet and never gets his name right. Luke, I am so proud of you!

Big Bike Race 2010
With the in-laws in town the kids were happy to stay home so I was off to the "wall" solo. The Philadelphia International Bike Race is a true american classic race. Although the list of riders and teams are not what they once were, the race and the course are still worth a visit. I rode the mountain bike from my house through the trails of Valley Green and an hour later I was on top of the Manayunk Wall. For those that have never been to this race the "wall" is the place to view this race. 17% equals slow speeds, suffering, and great viewing. I watched four laps of the 10 and was off for home. It was cool to be able from my house, through singletrack, and end up at an international level bike race!

The year of the bike is back!
My brother called 2010 the year of the bike. He stated he was going to ride more and even dust off the mountain bike. I was thrilled to hear this from Andy. I was looking forward to spending time with the bro as we rode to and from some old and new destinations. Back in Jan. he was getting on the bike pretty often, then life picked up the pace and the riding had to take a back seat. Then a couple of weeks ago Andy said "we have to go for a ride". I called early in the week to give plenty of time to prepare and plan. He said he was in. Lets go!
We have done two great gravel/path rides in the last two weeks. Both rides he has ridden strong, even standing up and hammering some of the short and steep climbs. It really has been nice to have the time to talk on the rides. Since having young childeren when we get together with the families we don't always get to sit and talk. What did we talk about? Fun stuff like life insurance and how to avoid debt. Andy it is great to see you on the bike. Keep it going! I look forward to our next ride.

Happy Mothers Day
When you meet someone you are attracted to them for many reasons. They are pretty, fun, and happy. You are not sure how they will perform as a parent. Do you even consider it? Becki has far exceeded any of my expectations as a parent. She really is the best and most dedicated mom to our childern. Thank you for everything!
