Our day started on the "wall'' ! This climb is where all the action happens. We spent our time on the wall with Leon, Sue, Leo, Colby, Phil, Michelle, Sophie and Kaylin. The highlight of the early part of he race was one of the US national team members getting into a solo break and the crowd on the wall chanting USA, USA, USA!
Meghan and I were interviewed for the local news while watching the riders go by. Meg looked great on T.V. This picture is the riders heading to the top portion of the wall.
With the other families leaving for greener pastures the Wendler's moved down to Main Street for a different view of the action. You really get a sense for the speed of the riders as the move down the mostly flat road.
Overall, this event is a highlight for family and friends. The weather is always great and the crowds are huge. If you have never been to the Manayank bike race get to philly and check it out. Charlie start making your plans now for next year. No excuses!
