Valley Green- Back to the Car

This is Bumps and Berms BMX in York Pa. Luke won a double points race on Sat. night. I followed him with the new GOPRO in practice. Check out the jumping on the last straight.

Good Ride Good Eats

Riding Hot

It has been hot and dry here in the Philly area. That means get out and ride. The dry weather has been nice for riding the dirt. The road has been a great place to catch a breeze.

White Clay with a 7 & 8 year old

These kids can ride. They were excited for the trails and were ready for some fun. Although Luke had been there before Willy was going for the first time. His dad had taught him how to ride and he did great. The best part of the day was watching and listening to two young kids really enjoying mountain biking. It was pure fun for them. There was no talk of the next race, heart rate, or power output. The ride was all about having fun with friends while riding through the woods. Thanks guys it was fun.

20 Years Later

I got to see Soundgarden. Great show and the band played all the classics from the early 90's. Although I am getting old the show had me feeling young. The power of good music is amazing.

Making Progress BMX Style

Luke has been putting in the practice hours to improve his riding. He is chasing the older racers and learning to manual. Keep up the good work! As a dad I could not be more proud of his racing and riding!

New Trails in Valley Green

Some great new trails have been built in Valley Green. Very fun and flowy! The climb up to get to them is still as hard as ever.

Close Up

This week I got to go to the TLA (Theater of Living Arts) on South street to see Tres Mountain. The band contains two members of Pearl Jam. The guitar player and bassist are from PJ. Mike McCready is the guitarist and is one of the best in the world. Seeing him play from a few feet away was great. The band was very good on a whole. Their sound was hard rock and had a very "put together" sound. Polished! The only part about the night that could have been better is if my brother was their to see it with me. We have seen many PJ shows over the years and I know he would have loved this. Next time! Hope you enjoy the pics!

Nothing like the first RIDE!

I was so happy that I got to see Josie ride a bike without training wheels in person. We knew she was strong enough and we knew she wanted to ride. Her daddy took off the training wheels and I got out the camera. With a little help and encouagment she was on her way! Soon she will catch up to Meg and Luke and they will ride together. The morning boardwalk rides at the shore should be fun this year! Good job Josie I am very proud of you!

Bridge Build 2

The bridge is the second I have built on my school trail in the past year. This spot was in need of a complete re-build. Dave C. and I built the original bridge about 4 or 5 years ago. Thanks to my principal and the PTO for the materials. Thanks to Luke for the help! These kids at my school are lucky!!

Ridge Singletrack

Rode the path to Valley Forge for some dry trails. There is a couple of trails up on ridges I hoped would be dry. They were dry and fun. Technical singletrack at its best.
